Party Time Society
PTS Radio plays good music, no matter what genre. With roots deep in the Chicago music scene, we're on the front lines of the underground.
Party Time Society has been on the air in one way or another for over 15 years. Searchl1te and Jeekoos have lead the way. Tim Nice joined the show in 2012. Tim is classically trained as a recording engineer, producer and has been DJing for nearly 20 years. The roots of the show are in Jungle and Drum and Bass but we pride ourselves on being eclectic tastemakers. You can expect to hear Jungle, DnB, Footwork, Dubstep, Trap, House, Techno, Moombahton, Hip Hop and all sorts of varieties of off center electronic music when you tune in. We make our best effort to highlight local and independent artists who deserve the exposure. Searchl1te, Jeekoos and Tim Nice all play out regularly all over Chicago.

Irreverent of genre but observant of vibe, Ryan Searchl1te constructs bass-heavy tunes and mixes loaded with his own field recordings, samplings from a nerdy collection of vinyl, analog grit cranked out of piles of old gear, and collaborations with the underground’s toughest lyricists and musicians. Ryan, alongside Jeekoos, Tim Nice, and MC Zulu, has been holding down Party Time Society Radio on WNUR for nearly two decades. PTS Radio hosts local, national, and international guests known for representing the business end of the bass music diaspora. Ryan is also the founder and director of Free Write Arts & Literacy, an organization that teaches reading, writing and music production to incarcerated youth in Chicago.

Born in Poland, influenced by his cousin who played bass in various bands, he wanted to go the same route. It wasn’t until he migrated to the U.S. that he finally got a bass guitar of his own and started playing in punk/metal bands around Chicago. Enjoying some electronic music here and there, nothing was stimulating his musical taste quite enough. Always favoring the more intense sound, a house party at the turn of the century introduced Jeekoos to jungle/drum and bass. He fell in love. While already producing hip hop and breakbeat type madness in the late 90′s, he started fusing more DnB style intensity into his productions, which came very naturally and his tracks started getting some radio play on WNUR 89.3fm in Chicago.
In early 2000, Jeekoos joined the Part Time Sucker Radio crew, delivering bass music selections to ever growing audiences throughout the world via various radio stations; WNUR 89.3fm, dnbradio.com, destroyer.net and eventually dubstep.fm and ran the show alone for a few years, forcing him to start DJing, rapidly expanding his music collection to come fresh on weekly basis.
At the end of 2008, Jeekoos was offered an hour of saturday night airtime on KAKU radio, 88.5fm on the island of Maui, creating SUB808 radio that featured his mixes as well as countless guests from around the globe. The program lasted about a year, when management decided to kick off all of the programming and play Hawaiian and country music only. Jeekoos has supported acts ranging from Kid Cudi & Lupe Fiasco to Datsik & Caspa or even the likes of Mala, and everywhere in between.
Jeekoos is influenced by pretty much everything around him, art, people or situations, loving the constant progression of the sound, music has always played a major role in his life and it nothing suggest that it will stop anytime soon…
